Join us for some Good Trouble!

John Lewis's guiding principle inspires the name: "My philosophy is very simple when you see something that is not right, not just, say something! Do something! Get in trouble! Good trouble! Necessary trouble!"

In this book club, we will focus on books that provide space to challenge systemic oppression to uplift BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ storytellers and authors. We will meet virtually and build community with others near and far.

Too many of us have been raised to fall in line. Keep our heads down. Don't cause a scene; our "being good" will be rewarded. But we know that's not always true. So let's cause some good trouble. As Mikki Kendall, author of Hood Feminism, shared, “ I learned that being a problem child meant I could be an adult who went her way and got things done because I am not so focused on pleasing other people at my own expense.”
